It was also a great celebration of GCS Santa Ana’s presence in Santa Ana’s Art Village. Here is a collection of the some the art and people present for this great evening.

On Saturday, February 25th, Password Athletics and Radio Futura Alhambra hosted a Game of S.K.A.T.E. Free food and drinks for everyone and a Prize Bag for the winner. We had a good turn out for our first skate event. Keep posted, we’ll be hosting a few more.
Yes, that’s right, the title says it all. We’ve received more than 15 new t-shirt designs since we’ve restarted the blog. We are trying to update the website and the blog every couple of days with the new designs. Today, I’m posting the t-shirts we picked up from Tonz of Drumz and Ghetto Life. Now, if you have any knowledge of Los Angeles Drum and Bass and/or Jungle history, then you are familiar with both of these names. Tonz of Drumz is a label started by CRS? (or DJ CRS?) and Ghetto Life is run (and, I think owned) by APX1. Both are long time DJ’s in the Los Angeles Jungle Scene. Take a look at their tees, they are now available on line (radiofuturamusic.com) and in the Alhambra store. More photos after the jump
Went to GCS Santa Ana’s Subterranean Heads 2 Art Show. Good Show. Lot’s of fantastic art, cool people, and a great atmosphere. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Mear One, one of the Los Angeles’ most talented artists. He was approachable and down to earth. We talked a little about his development as an artist and his subject matter. It turns out that Mear One and Splat actually curated the show. If you ever have the chance to go to the Santa Ana Art Walk-YOU SHOULD, and make sure you visit GCS Santa Ana when you go. Here is a little video synopsis (hey, I’m still practicing for may Spain Football Trip), and after the jump are some photographs of the Art Show.
Here are some t-shirts we have received in the shop over the past couple of weeks. Check them out. Especially, the Vendetta “Where Hip Hop Died” Tee. You either like it (actually love it), or you hate it. In some ways it is true, although they still play some rap artists, they play way more Hip House Electro Swag Pop Hop. In any case check out the new tees, there are a couple more after the jump.
We’ve been stocking Ill Street Blues for a while now, we’ve picked up some new designs in the store (new designs for the store, but I think they’ve been out for a minute). The tees will also be up on the website. After the jump you can see the three new designs..front, back, and side to side (or, something like that)
