One of the first In-store performances in 2008 at Radio Futura/GCS Alhambra store. 2Mex(Visionaries) and Ikey Owens(Mars Volta) performed live as the Look Daggers. It’s an amazing mesh of rock, punk and hip hop all in one. Ikey Owens provides the keys and sounds as 2Mex fills the room(or patio) with his mind bending lyrics. It was a great performance by the duo as they graced our patio with a few tunes. You can still pick up copies of the Look Daggers CD at Radio Futura or click here to buy online. This is a Radio Futura commercial that didn’t quite make it to the big screen, but made it to our favorite store commercials. This is when we were running television commercials on cable. This is a Killer Green (H1) production that captures the essence of what the store is about. It has the elements of the hip hop, underground subculture in snippets of classic films and live footage. The concept is great and I still like to post it from time to time on different sites for people who have never seen it. You’ll also see a recent edit adding the Alhambra location to the end of the video. Enjoy!
DUB STEPPIN’ ON THE 10FWY

So B.B. (Breaking Bad) decided to secretly record Radio Futura’s H2dtwo and Nic @ nite during a dub step beat-box session on the way home from the club. It came as a total surprise to us as we found this on Youtube the next week. Who knows we might decide to dub it on to CD and give them out at the store. The video was recorded and nicely edited by BebeGCS for your entertainment. Enjoy!
