Thursday, December 3rd, 2009So I got a chance to listen to the latest Eyedea and Abilities, album “By The Throat.” I have to say it was a breath of fresh air. Some of Eyedea and Abilities’ most innovative work. Rhymesayers described the album best as, “biting guitars, fuzzy keyboards, melodic choruses, and some of their most intricate turntable work to date.” The lyrics are like mind candy, flowing to a grungy guitar riff over a smooth beat. You might be conflicted to believe it is hip hop, but you won’t be able to help from wanting to bob your head. Big-ups to Eyedea and Abilities. Hey we picked up a few copies of the Major Lazer “Guns Don’t Kill People, Lasers Do,” album on 12″ vinyl. It has our favorite “Pon De Floor” track on it. A couple of copies in stock now Online and in-stores. It’s primarily a dance hall album, with the occasional techno samples. It also comes with a digital download of the album.
